RC Inverted Flight Tips

There is no greater fun in this world than flying your RC Helicopter in an upside down position. It isn’t as difficult as it sounds but also it isn’t as easy as you think.

RC Inverted Flight Tips

Most of the helicopter enthusiasts spend more time by flying their Heli in an inverted position. The first prominent step to RC flying is being comfortable. Before anything else, you need to know how to master different helicopter 3D flight. We all believe that practice makes a perfect outcome. If you happen to be a novice in this field, don’t stress out over anything. It only involves taking some time out to the field and as you try your level best.

Prepping for Inverted

A few things need to be checked for you to have a successful upside-down flight. First, your RC Helicopter should have a collective-pitch head. But if you can make gravity in the opposite direction, you are good to go.

Though it’s always right to be on the safe side. RC Helicopters with collective pitch head appears to provide a balanced head speed all through. The whole setup allows you to create a maximum lift while your Heli is in an upside down position.

Learn the Flips, Rolls, and Loops

To have a useful flying trick, you need to have a positive and negative pitch (as shown in the below video).Loops is a very simple technique to learn.

You just need to hold onto your controls as much as possible. At this point, you have to use a cyclic pitch or collective pitch for excellent looping experience. Always remember to use the negative pitch and positive pitch which allows you to control the Heli up and down.

When going through the loop process you need to put extra effort on the elevator. Note that there won’t be any aerial needed when going through the loop process. The secret here is to drive the RC Helicopter towards yourself then control the aerial which is quite easier. Remember to keep the Heli as straight as possible.

Talking about rolls keep close to the negative and positive controls. When rolling you should have the same balance. Just as the above video shows. Looking back at the flip tricks, it is quite similar to the looping process.

But here you need to be on the lookout by using the negative and positive pitch in an effective way. Just when the helicopter is going down flip it up with a positive pitch. It is just like a repetitive process flight. But the motive here is to learn the movement of the helicopter.

*Make sure you have flown the RC Helicopter far away from yourself, due to the high level of throttle experienced. The whole process isn’t determined by your skill level but your concentration level*

Taking the Flight Test

Before I introduce to you to another flight inverted video, you need to note that lots of RC Helicopters are designed in such a way they can’t fly upside down. To notice this, if your RC Helicopter happens to shake or move in opposite direction, you better stop the inverted flight process. To understand more, let’s have a glance at the below video.

Just like the experts have said, type of controls also matter. Make sure the aerations are in the same position but radar and elevator should be at the backward position. Take a look at the types of inverted flight tips:

1st -Rolling into Inverted:

The hardest part when it comes to upside flying is that you have to stop the Heli and roll. This will allow you to get the forward pressure with much ease. Remember to put a little effort on the forward pressure and not the backward pressure. As a side note, you have to have a balanced forward pressure. Not too high or not too low. At this point, you are required to concentrate more on your controls.

2nd –Looping into Inverted:

Try to move in a downward direction and follow the winds directions as well. Always remember forward pressure will allow you to have a successful flight loop. This will help you to fly at a normal rate. If you have to pass through the radar process, always push the Heli facing the direction that you aim it to go.

*Always remember to roll out so that you don’t fall out. For effective loop performance-go forward and remember to maintain the forward pressure at a balanced level.*

According to the above YouTube video, it seemly appears that you have to be patient to learn the inverted flight. Even professional get stunned at times.

For a useful inverted flight, don’t forget to follow and understand the above YouTube videos. I have done my in-depth research. This means that this article will give you that second chance to have proper flight. Just avoid the pulling back motion and remember to concentrate on the forward pressure control flight. Another tip is that never slow down the plane as this may crash it in seconds.
